We are looking for a consultant with 3-5 years experience in FMCG structural packaging design/design management consulting to lead the development of Plan's visual strategy capability within our growing packaging team.

Knowledge, skills and experience

You will have experience of:

Leading small teams

Combining analytical and intuitive thinking

Systematically breaking down and analysing a problem, and working creatively to develop a process to solve it

Synthesising consumer insight, design/lifestyle trends and brand/semiotic analysis into design directions

Working within the constraints of brand strategy, commercial objectives and technical requirements

Developing cogent points of view and visually compelling design language strategies

Juggling projects, priorities and resources and managing budgets

Communicating recommendations in a clear, well structured and visually engaging manner

Delivering presentations to senior client audiences

Writing successful proposals

Key tasks

Your main priorities will be:

Leading multidisciplinary teams of 3-7 people, which include both people at Plan and external partners

Understanding and developing cogent points of view on our clients' key issues

Working with senior team members to facilitate and guide client teams through project processes

Delivering insightful, strategic and compelling presentations to senior management audiences

Helping to develop our key accounts by being responsive to client needs, pro-active on new opportunities and gathering intelligence on their business

Developing Plan's visual strategy processes, tools and resources

Coaching junior staff in the development of their capabilities
